Mobile Access on Nokia phones gives streaming video and live sensor data
Bangkok, Thailand. May 8 , 2006

AKCP, the world's oldest and largest SNMP environmental and security monitoring firm announces full integration of their embedded Linux sensorProbe with Nokia's mobile phones. This is available now at no cost.

What's happening at the office while you're away? Is your data center secure? Real time streaming video from up to four cameras simultaneously and live sensor updates on your mobile phone anywhere in the world. All your video and sensor information is always at your fingertips. Video channels can be displayed individually and inspected using the interface's zoom, pan, and tilt features. The sensorProbe supports up to 4 security cameras and up to 28 different sensors.

You can connect your mobile phone to your sensorProbe through Bluetooth, the Internet, or by direct modem link. The sensorProbe supports optional wireless modems. After a simple configuration a login page is displayed on your phone. After login, a secure connection to the sensorProbe is established.

AKCP's program runs as a native application on the mobile phone, not a web page. While technically more difficult to design, this approach results in higher video throughput and a more dynamic, intuitive experience.

This application has been designed for Nokia S60 Models: Nokia N71, N80, N92, E60, E61, E70, 3250, N90, N70, N91, 6682, 6680, 6681, 3230, 6670, 6630, 6260, N-Gage QD, 7610, 6620.
