AKCP introduces 1,000 feet sensorRemote boxes
and the price reduction in all sensor prices.

AKCP, the world leader in environmental and security
monitoring, today announces a reduction in their sensor
prices, an increase in their maximum range and the
introduction of sensorRemote boxes.
AKCP has reduced the price for all of their sensor
products. This will result in a more affordable
price, allowing the customer to economically increase
the number of points monitored. Now it will be possible
to monitor several areas for hot spots due to poor
air circulation.
The company has today released a low cost sensorRemote
box. These units are available in both remote temperature
and remote temperature and humidity versions. The
remote box can be connected by using a standard
CAT-5 cable with an RJ45 connector. The sensorRemote
box will accept one side of this cable into its
standard RJ45 receptacle and the sensorProbe or
cameraProbe will accept the other side of this cable
into its standard RJ45 receptacle.
This provides the customers a flexibility to position
the sensorRemote box anywhere with a cable of the
correct length. The sensorRemote box contains sensors
and support circuitry allowing the cable to be extended
up to 1,000 feet. Standard RJ45 connectors are used,
allowing the sensorRemote box to be connected via
corporate networking patch panels in many cases.
The sensorRemote box with temperature sensor is
priced at $75.00 and the sensorRemote box with temperature
and humidity sensor is priced at $120.00. The sensorRemote
box requires one spare autosense port on either
the sensorProbe or the cameraProbe.
